What would life look like if you were Extra-Ordinary? God loves to see us growing. For starters, try praying more than you “ordinarily” would pray. We’ve found the most effective way to persist in prayer is to put it on the calendar and to pray with others. Below are some creative ideas to petition the Father for the souls of the Japanese people.
Individually:
- Take a couple of extra minutes and pray daily for Japan when eating lunch at work.
- Use our Newsletters to pray for specific requests during your personal prayer time.
- Bookmark our Prayer Calendar to pray for the 31 general requests we’ve listed.
- Create a prayer calendar and pray for geographical locations in Japan.
- Fast and pray once a month for the Japanese people or commit to fast and pray through lunch one day a week for the Japanese.
Multiply Prayer with a Friends and Family Plan:
- Pray as a family for the Japanese people before dinner.
- Ask for prayer for the Japanese people in your Bible study groups, missions prayer groups, Sunday School class, etc.
- Talk to your existing small group or Sunday School class about “adopting” the unreached Japanese people.
- Create a weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly missions prayer group with missions-minded friends for the express purpose of praying for the Japanese.
- Integrate prayer for the Japanese at the beginning or end of weekly meetings, rehearsals, Bible studies, fellowship times, etc.
- Hold half-night or all-night prayer events for the unreached and for the Japanese specifically.
